Ramona Muse Lambert believes that art should be an inclusive experience, and often injects humor and playfulness into her work, in an attempt to make it accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages and backgrounds. Born in rural Iowa, and now residing in Des Moines, Ramona creates art in a variety of mediums, including illustration, painting, textile, video, and music. Her current focus lies heavily on illustrating for a variety of clients including Exile Brewing Co, performing with her band Ramona and the Sometimes, as well as raising and trying to enable creativity in her children, born in 2016 and 2019. Since receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Iowa State University, she has been teaching art courses to children and adults at various schools, museums, and workspaces across the state. Most notably she has taught for many years at the Des Moines Art Center, as well as a course at Grandview University. She annually designs and directs the children’s art zone at Hinterland music festival.
