about the artist
Born in rural Iowa, and now residing in Des Moines, Ramona Muse Lambert creates art in a variety of mediums, including illustration, painting, textile, video, and multimedia. Since receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Iowa State University, Ramona has been teaching art courses to children and adults at various schools, museums, and workspaces across the state. Her current focus lies heavily on illustrating beer labels for Exile Brewing Co. and teaching at the Des Moines Art Center, as well as raising and trying to enable creativity in her son, born in 2016. She recently completed a prominently featured mural at the Fleur Cinema & Cafe, and annually designs and directs the Hinterkids art zone at Hinterland music festival in St. Charles, IA. Ramona believes that art should be an inclusive experience, and often injects humor and playfulness into her work, in attempt to make it accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages and backgrounds.
